MIMI MONTAGE

Braylen Brooks (Mimi Montage) is a visual artist and tastemaker whose photography invites the viewer to expand their aesthetic horizons.

Mimi was born in Little Rock and raised in Dallas. Mimi’s dreams led to Hollywood red carpets and Milan fashion houses before transitioning into international travel. Mimi went from runway to runway, working in global partnership with hotels, resorts, and restaurants in dozens of countries. Mimi learns by experience—everywhere picking up language, culture, dance, dress, aesthetics, to add to the repertoire. Mimi fits and expands each moment, welcoming transformation of setting, self, and audience. Mimi’s worldliness, fluency, and ability to effortlessly code switch through visual languages inform an expansive and varied body of work.

Mimi’s photography and visual work have appeared in campaigns for Four Seasons, Grecotel, Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, Peninsula, and St. Regis. Mimi has done runway shows and photoshoots for Vivienne Westwood and Brian Dales and participated in campaigns for Roberto Cavalli, Dell, and Spotify. She has also worked as a red-carpet host and actor and has developed a global audience through social media.

Mimi's viral online content was sampled by Lizzo. Mimi’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Esquire, Sin Magazine (Latvia), Good Morning Lala Land, Shoutout LA, Voyage LA.

Mimi is now expanding her commercial photography practice into fine art.
